Me and my photo-equipment...

Anders Damgaard (born 1988).
 
I have studied and collected amber with inclusions since
December 2008. The focus is obviously wide, but over a lon
g period, the emphasis has been to study Coleoptera in amber.

For security considerations, I have no amber at home with myself - consistently every piece is in a safe-deposit box in the bank

Equipment
I use a Stereo-magnifying glass whith 160x magnification. For the images I' use an old camera. My camera is a bit too old for this kind of work , which can also be seen in some of the images, but it is getting the job done for now until I get better equipment. So, not all of my pictures are as good as I wish (especially the ones of the small inclusions). These images on this page are all of okay optimum quality, but I've been quite selective with what I am posting, so there is much of the collection that will not be published until I obtain better photographic equipment

If you, or someone you know has access to a microscope of good quality, any lighting equipment (currently I use only the two bulbs in the microscope and they give not enough light) or a camera that I can buy cheaply, or have a scholarship I can apply for – please feel free to contact me!
